File/Media Formats
We prefer PDF files. They are the best file format for printing, because of how they retain information for the printer. Most programs have an option to save or export your file as a PDF. Please make sure that you're files are print-ready and include proper, bleed and margin space if necessary.
Crop/Trim Marks
Crop marks or Trim marks are the little tick marks in the corners of your file. We print jobs with bleeds on oversized paper and then cut the job down to the final size, and the crop marks tell us where to make the cuts.
Bleed
Printers cannot print all the way to the edge. For a job to be finished with a bleed, the file has to extend past the final size and then be trimmed down. 1/8” bleed area is the minimum requirement for printing. Without a bleed to your document, you will run the risk of uneven white lines or smaller sized finished documents.
Margins
Margin is the space inside the printed document that is safe. Elements inside this area do not run the risk of getting cut off when printing. 1/8” is the minimum amount of margin we can work with.
