Supported Software
We regularly work with a wide range of software applications on both Mac and PC platforms. If you are planning on sending us a file, it may help to look at the list below. If your application is not listed, please call us so we can make sure your project is handled according to our high standards.
We recommend using one the following software applications:
Adobe PageMaker Windows/Mac 7.0
Adobe Illustrator Windows CS (11.0)/Mac 10.0
Adobe InDesign Mac Only 2.0
Adobe Acrobat Windows 6.0 with Pitstop Editing Software/Mac 5.0
Microsoft Excel Windows 2003/Mac 10
Microsoft PowerPoint Windows 2003/Mac 10
Microsoft Publisher Windows 2003
Microsoft Word Windows 2003/Mac 10
QuarkXpress Windows/Mac 6.0
Images used in your files should be in a CMYK or grayscale format set to at least 300 dpi. Larger scale images may need to be at a minimum of 400 dpi. We can work with RGB images; however, extra charges may apply if we need to convert the images to CMYK.
When preparing an Acrobat PDF file with Acrobat Distiller, please set the job options to “PressOptimized”. This will ensure that the fonts are embedded and that the images will retain their correct resolution. Many programs have automatic PDF writers—please set the writer to “press ready” for optimal output.
