For inclusion in the Oak Brook Civic Association's monthly newsletter we require:

PDF of advertisement: emailed to Customer Care by 15th day of the preceding month

If Sheer Graphics is designing your advertisement, please sent us manuscript & photos by 10th day of the preceding month

Payment is required with order and before publication.

Send check payable to the Oak Brook Civic Association to Sheer Graphics Inc. 47 Chestnut Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559 - before publication.

For personal announcements and other momentous occasions only:

Creating Your Advertisement

Mechanical Requirements:

Create artwork in black, PMS 293 blue & white only. Artwork containing other colors will be converted to B&W with possible loss of readability.

Convert to PDF

For print-ready PDF artwork submitted by email or online, the document and the output paper size MUST be created at a custom size of:

Full page: 7.5” wide x 10” high

1/2 page: 7.5” wide x 4.9” high

1/3 page: 4.9” wide x 4.9” high

1/6 page: 2.4” wide x 4.9” high
For personal announcements and other momentous occasions only:

1/12 page: 2.4” wide x 2.45” high

This is the maximum printable area.
Other document and output paper sizes such as 8-1/2" x 11" will not fit.
Missing copy or excess white space around your proof is the result.

Example: In Microsoft Word to create the custom document size for a half page advertisement:
File >Page Setup... >Margins, Header & Footer = 0" (zero)
File >Page Setup... >Paper Size >Custom Size >Width = 7.5" >Height = 4.9" >Orientation 'Portrait'

and to create the custom output paper size:
File >Print >pull-down ‘Sheer Graphics’ >Properties >Paper/Quality >Advanced >Paper Size >PostScript Custom Page Size >Width = 7.5" >Height = 4.9"

Advertisements are printed in black, PMS 293 blue & white only.

••• Artwork containing other colors will be converted to B&W grayscale with loss of contrast and possibly its readability •••
Graphic files will be printed at 150 l.p.i. on uncoated offset paper.
